Subscribers to the various betting products delivered through our sister-site bettrends.co.uk have on the whole had a pretty good run of recent results. The 14/1 Ladbrokes Portland Handicap winner, Nocturnal Affair and 11/1 William Hill Ayr Gold Cup winner, Our Jonathan were notably big winners in September for the bettrends team but they surpassed even that when it came to their preview of the inaugural Qipco British Champions Day at Ascot on 15th October.
With record levels of prize money available, all six races looked hugely competitive but this didn’t deter our dedicated team who shortlisted the claims of five of the six winners. Fame And Glory started the ball rolling by winning the Long Distance Cup and he was chased home by Opinion Poll, the suggested main danger. Deacon Blues proved another welcomed winner when landing the Sprint Stakes with the 25/1 long-shot Libranno running well to finish third.
Dancing Rain brought up the hat-trick when winning the Fillies’ and Mares’ Stakes at a respectable 6/1 with the fancies outsider Bible Belt running the race of her life to finish a 14/1 runner-up. The mighty Frankel would have been on many people’s shortlists for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes but the team excelled themselves by suggesting he be coupled with the eventual runner-up Excelebration in a forecast bet.
Alas, a clean sweep was lost in the Champion Stakes when the selection, Midday could only finish fourth behind the impressive French winner Cirrus Des Aigles. But the team saved the best for last when suggesting Edinburgh Knight for the closing Apprentice Handicap. Despite starting at 18/1 Paul D’Arcy’s gelding held off the challenge of 10/1 shot Primaeval, who incidentally had been the teams main danger going into the race.
With the Flat season drawing to a close over the next couple of weeks the Bettrends team are already eyeing what promises to be a hugely exciting National Hunt season. There are a whole host of products and services available, so click here and check them out for yourself.
